Craving Roulette ("the app," "we," "us") helps you decide what to eat by picking a random restaurant or meal combo near you and linking out to DoorDash or Uber Eats to order it. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Location (optional). If you allow it, the app uses your device's location to find restaurants near you. You can decline this and type in a city, zip code, or address instead — the app works exactly the same either way. Your location is used only to build a single search request; we do not store your location history or link it to any personal profile.
City/address you type in. If you enter a city, zip code, or address instead of using device location, that text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to convert it into map coordinates, then used the same way as device location above.
No account required. Craving Roulette does not require sign-up, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment information. We have no login system.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, when you spin, switch tabs, apply a filter, tap an order link, or use the share button. This tells us which features people actually use so we can improve the app; it is not tied to your name or any personal profile, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Standard server logs. Like any website or app, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical data (IP address, browser/device type, timestamps) for security and debugging. These logs are not used to build user profiles and are not sold or shared for advertising.
When enabled, DoorDash and Uber Eats affiliate tracking links and Google AdSense ads may set cookies or use device identifiers when you click them, governed by DoorDash's Privacy Policy, Uber's Privacy Notice, and Google's Privacy & Terms. We do not control or receive this data ourselves beyond standard ad-network performance reporting.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not build advertising profiles from location data. We do not share your data with third parties except the mapping/places providers strictly necessary to run a search (OpenStreetMap Nominatim, Geoapify), and, once enabled, ad/affiliate partners as described above.

Craving Roulette is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We'll update the effective date above whenever this policy changes, and will note material changes (such as enabling ads or affiliate tracking) here.
